I am Sherri McLeod

living with ALS

North Carolina

Except for my faith in God and my love for my family, especially my two sons, ALS has taken everything from me.

ALS is who I am since May 23rd, 2013, the day I received my diagnosis. Our lives haven’t been the same since. Except for my faith in God and my love for my family, especially my two sons, ALS has taken everything from me — my ability to walk, talk, breathe, move my arms and hands, and even my sense of smell and taste. Despite all this, God continues to sustain me. He gives me strength to keep going and has always ensured I have good, caring people to care for me, and that all my needs are met. I am blessed despite having ALS!
