I am Roseann Hickman

living with ALS

Ohio

I have a very strong family and support system in place and we are hitting the pavement running.

I am 59 years old and was diagnosed with ALS in December of 2022. I am married with four children and eight grandchildren. I am very active in my community with several organizations and volunteer with a few non profits.

ALS was never on my radar. I had lost family members to Diabetes, Heart Disease and Leukemia. So you can imagine my shock when I was told I have ALS.

I have a very strong family and support system in place and we are hitting the pavement running. We are all very involved in trying to find a cure and spread awareness about this horrible disease. Living with ALS is manageable and I don’t ever want anyone to feel like giving up. There is hope for a future and a cure is just around the corner. Let’s be part of the solution!
