I am Paula Smith

a family member of someone living with ALS

Our son Joshua was diagnosed with ALS at the age of 29.

Our son Joshua was diagnosed with ALS at the age of 29. He has played football since he was seven years old. He coaches middle schoolers here in our town for the last nine years. Since his diagnosis, he can no longer work with his dad in their construction business. He is no longer coaching, riding his motorcycle or doing things that we never thought weren’t possible. … Josh, like all other ALS patients, deserves to live. He’s 30 now and has a whole life ahead of him! … We will do whatever we can to get ALS awareness out there — write letters to Congress and continue to advocate on his behalf.

Let’s do this NOW!
