I am Panagiota Karahalios

a family member in a familial ALS family,
living with ALS

California

We wanted to enjoy our kids and grandkids and enjoy each other while he was working to be retired.

My husband is waiting for a cure!! He does not have enough time to wait for 5 years. Not for a death sentence!

He was working as a carpenter for 40 years. He worked very hard 15 hour days while raising 4 kids. Our kids are now adults and not all are married. We wanted to enjoy our kids and grandkids and enjoy each other while he was working to be retired. Instead, ALS stopped every dream we had. This disease has taken everything from us and it has killed everything. Here we are every day closer to dying with no hope. Please give us some hope before is too late, we need a cure now.
