In memory of Mushir Kadri

someone we've lost to ALS

California

He was the most athletic, energetic, independent, charismatic, charming and genuine person I know.

My husband was diagnosed in April 2019 and we lost him April 2021. He was the most athletic, energetic, independent, charismatic, charming and genuine person I know. Mushir lived for his kids and making them smile. Yet, this torturous disease took away the most beautiful smile from his own face. No one should have to suffer like he did. No child should have to learn toileting and lifting and suctioning for his once-vibrant father. It’s the most cruel disease and it takes away a piece of you and your loved ones day by day until there is nothing left to take. Mushir was a loving and warm husband, a playful and goofy father, a dutiful and loyal son, a committed and devoted believer, a young brother, a fierce competitor and a man who could light up the room with his presence. He left us only 2 short years from his diagnosis and will be missed dearly.
