At 17, I drove her to a MLB game, bought her an ice cold Coke, and we enjoyed every pitch together. ALS can't steal THAT.

Little did I know a pair of tickets my father handed me to sit in green seats at Riverfront Stadium would be the last baseball game I would ever enjoy with my mother.

It was brutally hot. A right handed Red sent a line drive right at her head. I was ready to defend her, but a fan sitting in the row in front of us deflected it just before it hit my hands!

At 17, I drove her to a MLB game, bought her an ice cold Coke, and we enjoyed every pitch together. ALS can’t steal THAT. It stole her from me when I was 29.

Now, her baby boy is carrying the c9orf72 gene that obviously killed her and her father.
