I AM ALS means everyone has a connection to this disease. ALS is a disease that is considered rare, but its roots are reaching deep and wide, affecting many more than those immediately involved. I walked my husband home on October 22nd, 2019, after a four-year battle with ALS. It was a hellish, frustrating, sad and beautiful time in our lives. It took away so much, but yet we communicated more than we had in 37+ years. I was involved in a telephone conference call with other ALS caregivers just weeks before Stan died. It was the first time I felt there was someone who really cared about how I felt. … I AM ALS is and will continue to be a godsend to so many. Thank you.
