I am Lisa Jensen

a family member in a familial ALS family,
a family member of someone living with ALS,
a family member of someone we've lost to ALS

California

We joined walks to raise money and awareness and donated money in the hopes of a cure.

My Dad died from ALS in 1994. His diagnosis opened a can of worms. We started hearing from aunts, uncles and cousins on his side, misdiagnosed and lost to us through lack of scientific study and research.

In a few short years my Dad’s brother died of ALS and 2 of his grown children (one already deceased) and one recently diagnosed. Another cousin on the other side of the country has been diagnosed.

After my father died some of his blood was used for research into familial ALS. We joined walks to raise money and awareness and donated money in the hopes of a cure.

I recently found out about I AM ALS and and hope I can contribute in some way.
