I am Kathy Lamarre

a family member of someone we've lost to ALS

Mississippi

She had the biggest heart and cared about everybody.

My sister Sheryl Zemaitis Pastore suffered for 3 horrendous years until she had no more fight left and passed away on December 16, 2019.

My sister Sheryl made more quilts for people with disabilities, diseases, or the loss of a loved one. Each quilt she made she gave away. She never took any money for these quilts and her last count was over 200 quilts that she gave away. Sometimes she used clothing she made bears and stuffed animals for people.

She had the biggest heart and cared about everybody. So when she was diagnosed with ALS and could no longer do any quilting it was devastating for her. So since she couldn’t quilt she donated all of her fabric to a group of ladies that made clothing for children that didn’t have clothes. She gave to others right up until she had no fight left.

I miss her every day and there are many quilts out there that people can smile and remember her.
