Losing a loved one is incredibly tough, especially to a disease like ALS.
My mom was an incredible nurse, in her prime. Symptoms started with foot drop in 2015; she was diagnosed in 2016 & she made her way to Heaven in 2020. Losing a loved one is incredibly tough, especially to a disease like ALS. My brother & I cared for her at home for 5 years & while working, going to school as we were only 12 & 21 at the time of her diagnosis. She has these sparkly boots that she wore all the time, that sit up on a mantle at home to honor her. I miss her so much & I hope they find a cure for this horrific disease soon.
