I am Julie Ahlers Korte

 I AM ALS. In November of 2018, at the age of 52, I was diagnosed with bulbar-onset ALS, a cruel joke since I’m a foodie and love to cook. My kids — my oldest is about to graduate from college and my youngest is a sophomore in high school — inspire me to fight every day. I’m an attorney who can no longer speak, who is still working full-time, who is spinning three times a week, and who is crossing bucket list items with the kids because I’m not going to give up the fight. I’m just one of many who have the same story to tell. No one should have to live with the horrors of this disease and impact it has on entire families.
