I am Joe Collins

a family member of someone we've lost to ALS

Illinois

Our motto, “Fighting ALS Together” lives on as a testament to Mom’s family, friends & all those who joined her in fighting this horrible disease.

My beautiful Mom, Betty Collins, lived with & fought ALS with a courage I didn’t know a human being was capable of, for 6.5 years until she was called home by the Lord in May of 2020. Now, we honor her & all those living with ALS, via the Betty’s Brigade Foundation. Our motto, “Fighting ALS Together” lives on as a testament to Mom’s family, friends & all those who joined her in fighting this horrible disease. Mom’s legacy also lives on as one of courage, faith & an everlasting love of family!

What amazed me most about Mom’s personal fight against ALS is the fact that she LITERALLY never once complained in 6.5 years! Never once!

Brian & Sandra – you inspire us all, so much! Thank you for all you do AND how you do it! All of us in this fight, you’ve made it possible so that “WE ARE ALS” too!
