I am Jill Brattain

a family member of someone we've lost to ALS,
someone who cared for a person we've lost to ALS

Indiana

This strengthened a resolve in me that ALS will NOT have the last word. I will fight for the new "family" that I am a part of and we WILL defeat this beast.

My husband was diagnosed in May of 2015, his progression was slow. He was a Veteran. We began advocating for our local ALS community while searching for clinical trials to join. January 2019, he died unexpectedly, and traumatically. This strengthened a resolve in me that ALS will NOT have the last word. I will fight for the new “family” that I am a part of and we WILL defeat this beast.
