I am Jack Payne

living with ALS

Tennessee

In 2018 after seeing numerous specialists, I was diagnosed with ALS.

After 2 years of experiencing right knee and foot pain and years of therapy, the doctors said I needed a stint. So, after having a stint put in, I woke up one morning to foot drop. I made an appointment to an orthopedic specialist where I received a foot brace.

Later, I was sent to a neurologist to address the twitching I had experienced. In 2018 after seeing numerous specialists, I was diagnosed with ALS. Today, 2022 I am wheelchair bound and have lost muscle throughout my body. My wife helps me with bathing, dressing, and transfer. I used to golf every weekend and worked everyday.
