a friend of someone we've lost to ALS

I believe we can do so much more if funds were available through legislation in our state and federal government for our awesome scientists and doctors to be able to find a cure!

I actually had 2 friends pass from ALS a few years apart from each other. They were too young, gone before they could see their children get married and their grandchildren born. To see what this disease did to them and their families was devastating. The amount of out-of-pocket expenses not covered by health insurance was surely a crime making it even more stressful for their poor families.

There needs to be more research, tests and ultimately cures for this awful disease. We’ve seen the drug companies and government step up processes and research for the COVID vaccine. When will there be better science and available medicine for victims of ALS and their families? I believe we can do so much more if funds were available through legislation in our state and federal government for our awesome scientists and doctors to be able to find a cure!
