I am Glynis Murray

a family member of someone we've lost to ALS,
someone who cared for a person we've lost to ALS

California

So, I sent him a message, "I don't know you, but your truck is hot!"

We met online because his profile picture was of him standing next to his classic pick-up truck. So, I sent him a message, “I don’t know you, but your truck is hot!” I guess that worked because he messaged me back that night. We had a good first date, but I parked him in the friend zone immediately cause he was a great dad of two. I didn’t really want kids. But, we all eventually became really close. So, 14 months later we became a family. And even though he is no longer with us, our kids, now adults, are still my family. His legacy will always be his love for his family.
