I am Gary Kurtis

a family member of someone we've lost to ALS

Pennsylvania

It is such a cruel disease and since that time I dedicated my life to the care and cure for ALS.

Sept. 11, 2002 the one year anniversary of the horrible events of 9/11, I went to work in DC knowing it would be far different than a year ago. Unfortunately that day I got the call that my dad took his last breath and I never had a chance to say goodbye. At 77 he was still doing theatre and ALS took away everything he loved and him from our family. It is such a cruel disease and since that time I dedicated my life to the care and cure for ALS.
