I am Debbie Weiss

caring for someone living with ALS

Illinois

The biggest struggle is to have somewhere to turn for answers during this journey. Not only to talk to, but what to expect next.

My dad has ALS and has been diagnosed for a year. This past year has been extremely difficult — not only trying to figure out what this nasty disease is, but how to deal with the daily struggles that come along with it. I moved back home to help my mom in caring for my dad. The biggest struggle is to have somewhere to turn for answers during this journey. Not only to talk to, but what to expect next. Resources and knowledge/information need to be available to help those getting through this with our loved ones.
