I am Celisa McKee

living with ALS

Nevada

I was walking down a quiet hallway at work and a coworker asked me if I was slapping my foot.

My story? I served my country in the US Army and then went to college for nursing.  I became an emergency room RN and raised 4 wonderful boys. I have 1 grandson and 2 granddaughters due this year.  I was walking down a quiet hallway at work and a coworker asked me if I was slapping my foot. I didn’t think so but soon I found myself with an AFO. After many evaluations and diagnostics, I was given the diagnosis of ALS on April 15, 2021. The beginning of my end has begun.
