In memory of Beth Ann Scannell

someone we've lost to ALS

South Carolina

To all who knew her, she was the epitome of Joy, Love, and Compassion; before ALS, through ALS, and now in our hearts.

My wife Beth passed away from ALS on January 21, 2022. Her diagnosis came in May of 2020, but symptoms were back as far as at least the Fall of 2018. At the end, she had lost most use of all four limbs, had a feeding tube, was increasingly reliant on the ventilator, and speech was getting tough.

But, she had not lost her Spirit. To all who knew her, she was the epitome of Joy, Love, and Compassion; before ALS, through ALS, and now in our hearts.

She was my everything, and being her caregiver was never anything but an honor, and a way to give her my Love.
