In memory of Art Doyle

someone we've lost to ALS

Maryland

He would have been 85 this year. He was a veteran. I miss him every single day.

My dad, my hero, please let him not be a statistic. He was only 70 when ALS took him from his family. A very devoted father to five, a grandfather and great grandfather, wife he adored, a strong Catholic faith and an owner of a successful family business. This was my dad.

He was taken way to soon 15 years ago. He would have been 85 this year. He was a veteran. I miss him every single day. He loved his sports, taught us so much in team work, love of family and to keep the faith, even when he was thrown such a curve ball. When asked, “why you dad?” – his reply – “why not me? …I have lived a great life.” He did, but it should have been a longer life. We miss you Dad and we must find a cure.
