I am Ann Lynch

a family member of someone we've lost to ALS

Indiana

My grandpa was diagnosed with ALS when I was 4.

My grandpa was diagnosed with ALS when I was 4. His friend took him for all kinds of experimental treatment like snake venom injections. His diaphragm muscle stopped responding when I was 10. They gave him 6 months to live. My parents and grandma took care of him at home on a respirator for the next 11 yrs. it is a horrible disease that needs to be cured.
