I am Amanda Levine

living with ALS

New Jersey

I am also a two-time cancer survivor since the age of 15, so fighting life-threatening illnesses is not new to me -- it only makes me stronger.

I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, niece, aunt and friend who was diagnosed with ALS at the age of 46 in June 2018. I also am a two-time cancer survivor since the age of 15, so fighting life-threatening illnesses is not new to me — it only makes me stronger. I will never, ever give up my fight to conquer another disease that threatens to take me away from my family and friends. I refuse to let ALS define me. I am still ME! I will continue to participate in studies, research, anything and everything I can to give my all and fight not only for myself and my family, but for everyone touched by ALS, including the caretakers. We need to find the answers to treat and cure this horrific disease NOW. I AM ALS.
