WASHINGTON — I AM ALS launched a fully redesigned website focused on improving the user experience, with simplified language, a search bar, compatibility with all browsers and optimized function for impairments and disabilities. I AM ALS is a patient-centric movement revolutionizing how to fight disease.

iamals.org is a customized experience that puts navigating and advocating for an end to the disease easily at your fingertips — whether on mobile, tablet or desktop. The site was redesigned following a survey of more than 800 as well as focus groups to understand the needs of those impacted by ALS. This input was developed into resources through the newly launched navigation program to meet those needs, featuring an expansive guide to address evolving concerns at every step along the ALS journey.

Additional new features of the website include an action center that empowers and mobilizes people to join the I AM ALS revolution at any level — whether you are new to ALS or have been in the movement for cures for many years. The campaign-style approach connects advocates with turnkey actions that impact change. The site also features the latest in ALS research to show the community that there are reasons to be hopeful for treatments and cures on the horizon.

On our journey to always be a platform for the ALS community, the newly designed I AM ALS site features more than 100 stories from every facet of this movement. These legacies — those that came before us and those still paving the way for a brighter future — are displayed in a story wall to help amplify the voices of those impacted by ALS and other neurodegenerative diseases. The new site also prominently displays the Every Community Map, with almost 2,000 and counting contributions, showing that ALS impacts every community and every congressional district across the country.

I AM ALS is a patient-led community that provides critical support and resources to patients, caregivers and loved ones. It empowers advocates to raise mainstream awareness and lead the revolution against ALS in driving the development of cures. Learn more at iamals.org.
