Join us on the National Mall at the ALS flag display (in front of the Washington Monument and next to the African American History and Culture Museum) on Saturday May 10th at 11 am ET to hear the stories of people impacted by ALS.
To represent and honor the 6,000 people that are diagnosed with ALS every year in the United States, the ALS community installs 6,000 blue flags on the National Mall as part of the I AM ALS Community Summit. Each flag honors those living with ALS, those we have lost to ALS, and those who are ALS gene carriers. These flags are a powerful reminder of the people who are impacted by ALS.
This year I AM ALS wants to elevate this experience for the public by offering walks through the display with people stationed near their flags or the flags of their loved ones. Each individual will tell their or their person’s story.
This program will be under an hour, but extremely powerful.
Please join us.
