I am Tesla Davis

living with ALS

Florida

They eventually came to a conclusion on November 2018 at 28 years old and I was diagnosed with ALS.

My name is Tesla Davis, I moved to Florida with my college love in 2014. We bought our first house in 2016 and soon after at age 26 we had our blessing Harbor enter the world. I started trying to jog a couple of weeks after delivery and something was off. I started to develop foot drop.

I went to four neurologists and did all the testing. They eventually came to a conclusion on November 2018 at 28 years old and I was diagnosed with ALS. I have the SOD1 familial gene which puts my daughter at a 50% chance of getting it. I am determined to live to see treatment and have faith in an incredible God. I will be 30 and my daughter 4 this year! I am grateful I am able to talk and eat on my own, but this has been a journey. To all my fellow pals and cals keep up the good fight. ALS will not win.
