My name is Shelli Scott, at age 49 was diagnosed with bulbar ALS on Jan 5, 2021. I am married to Doug Scott who has been the rock of my life for over 28 years. I am a devoted follower of the Lord. I have 2 grown sons and no grandchildren yet. I am a disabled Hospice RN and loved my career and felt blessed by God for leading me into such a career.
My symptoms started about 8 months ago with shortness of breath and slurred speech. I am surrounded by the love of the wonderful God I serve and my family and friends. I am attempting to get authorization for Radicava infusions however was denied today. Disappointed, yes, but my God is an almighty warrior fighting for me. I am a fighter and my wish is to see both of my sons get married. I am strong and ALS does not define me.
