I am Larry Fine
a family member of someone we've lost to ALS
California
I will never complain however I will admit this is a very big challenge.
My wife and I were retired, me a corporate attorney and my wife a postal manager. For information my wife was the primary person who developed the Zip+ four code.
She was diagnosed with ALS. While we had good federal health insurance, for the most part I was the primary caregiver. I refused to put her in an institution. We were together 50 years, after we were told she had ALS she lasted 2 years.
I will never complain however I will admit this is a very big challenge. 24 hrs a day.
Thank you for letting me tell our story
