I am John Barlow

Diagnosed in 2022, my decline has been pronounced but gradual. I’ve tried to stay positive and engaged with people and activities. I know my attitude is a choice I make every day, even when there are setbacks.

I’ve kinda made myself the unofficial Walmart greeter at our monthly Cincinnati ALS support group meetings, and I truly enjoy all the good people involved.

I was recently humbled by the ALS organization, as they asked me to throw out the first pitch at the June 9th Lou Gehrig Day Reds game this year. I said yes!
