I am Carol Hoffman

a family member of someone we've lost to ALS

Minnesota

In the three years since her passing, these photos and memories continue to bring me joy. Because she was so happy.

My mom instilled in me a love of baseball (particularly the Twins) at a very young age. When she was diagnosed with ALS in March of 2015, the first place she wanted to go was to Florida for spring training. Over the next two years, we went to countless games and made so many memories. The Twins asked her to flip the Ks at a home game, where she got to meet her hero, Tony Oliva, making an already special night even more special. In the three years since her passing, these photos and memories continue to bring me joy. Because she was so happy.
