I am Mauricio Montalvan Cuellar

Hello I AM ALS friends! My name is Mauricio Montalvan Cuellar, I was born 51 years ago in Antofagasta, Chile. Last year I was diagnosed with ALS, although already three years ago I felt strange things in my arms and fingers like cramps, numbness and fatigue. This has not been easy.

When they told me what I had, I cried a lot. My life was sentenced but today I am more calm and optimistic about what may come. I have three children, two sons and a daughter. My sons are psychologists and my daughter is studying to be a teacher just like her mother, my beloved and beautiful wife. She, my children and my grandchildren (I have three) have been a fundamental pillar in my journey with this disease.

Hola amigos de I AM ALS! Mi nombre es mauricio Montalvan Cuellar, naci hace ya 51 años en Antofagasta Chile. El año pasado fui diagnosticado de ELA, aunque ya hace tres años sentia cosas raras en mis brazos y dedos como calambres adormecimiento y cansancio. No ha sido facil esto, cuando me dijeron lo que tenia llore mucho mi vida la di por sentenciada. Pero oy en dia estoy mas tranquilo y optimista frente a lo que pueda venir. Tengo tres hijos dos hombres y una mujer mis hijos son Psicologos y mi hija estudia para ser profesora al igual que su madre, mi amada y bella esposa. Ella, mis hijos y mis nietos (tengo tres) han sido un pilar fundamental en el caminar con esta enfermedad. Les envio toda mi energia y bendiciones a las luchadaress de ALS.
