I keep fighting for all my loved ones and hoping to make a difference in someone's life.
The phrase I AM ALS means to me: Look at me — I look normal, look healthy and seem to have it all together. But guess what? I have ALS. Anyone can get this — even you. I hate the fact that my wife of 31 years, my 29-year-old son, Phillip, my 27-year-old daughter, Kaitlyn, my family, friends — everyone — has to watch me deteriorate until an uncertain death. It upsets me that 80 plus years have gone by and there are no treatments or cures. I keep fighting for all my loved ones and hoping to make a difference in someone’s life. I’m trying to remain positive, but I do have my sad days. Not only do I have a physical battle every day, but a mental battle as well. We can win this battle, if we all band together.
