This disease is hard to see take over someone you love.
Our dad Hugo Rodriguez was diagnosed and suffered 8 long months with ALS. He lost the ability to walk, move, and speak in a short period of time. My dad was loving, hard-working, funny, and very respectful toward others. He was the best dad to my brothers and me and a wonderful husband to my mom. This disease is hard to see take over someone you love. We were able to find ways to help ease any discomfort or pain and were able to be with him in his last days. We miss him so much. For anyone going through this or someone they know just know you’re not alone!
