At the time of my Mother's diagnosis, we were told that there had been on only 3 other cases of married couples who both had been diagnosed with ALS.
I lost my father, Wayne Holcomb in 2007 to ALS. I lost my mother, Joan Holcomb to ALS in 2018. We all lived on our family farm in rural Yadkin County (Yadkinville), NC.
My father was diagnosed at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem, NC and my mother diagnosed at Duke Medical in Durham, NC.
At the time of my Mother’s diagnosis, we were told that there had been on only 3 other cases of married couples who both had been diagnosed with ALS.
I miss them both so very much. They were both my rocks!
