Sam is now on the MLB Rockies team and has found his voice in support of those fighting and living with ALS.
Baseball has been our life. Our youngest son, Sam Hilliard, grew up playing ball. Select ball, high school, college, and in 2015 he was drafted by the Colorado Rockies as an outfielder. What a journey this has been!
As Sam was blasting his way through the Rockies minor league system, his Dad and my husband, Jim, was diagnosed with ALS. Jim was a football player at the University of Texas in Austin and a successful Orthopedic Surgeon at the time of his DX.
Sam is now on the MLB Rockies team and has found his voice in support of those fighting and living with ALS. We are grateful to MLB for their continued support of ALS Awareness and the pursuit of a cure. GO Rockies!!
