I am Sue McMaster

a family member of someone living with ALS

Michigan

She's bright, bubbly, optimistic to a fault and so positive. Even after her diagnosis she is always smiling.

I have a wonderful niece by marriage who was recently diagnosed with ALS. She’s only 49, has a wonderful husband and twin teenage boys, a beautiful family. My niece, Heather, is an amazing mom, wife, friend, aunt, daughter… She’s bright, bubbly, optimistic to a fault and so positive. Even after her diagnosis she is always smiling.

But we all know how devastating this disease is and all the optimism in the world won’t create change or bring about a cure… we need to take action and put a spotlight on this disease too big to ignore. God bless all who suffer, love, care for and those that work tirelessly to advocate for a cure.
