I am Mary Ann Herbert

a family member of someone we've lost to ALS

Texas

More research is needed to determine CAUSE, DIAGNOSIS and a CURE! It’s too late for my husband but it’s not too late for those living with this disease.

My husband David was a healthy 62 year old when out of nowhere started having weakness and shortness of breath. He was diagnosed 4/16/19 and deteriorated so quickly we couldn’t keep up. He passed 8 months later. 8 months!!! My life has changed forever. I suffer from PTSD and miss the love of my life. This horrific disease which has still not been able to be diagnosed except by eliminating other issues is just unacceptable. More research is needed to determine CAUSE, DIAGNOSIS and a CURE! It’s too late for my husband but it’s not too late for those living with this disease.
