Our home team, the San Diego Padres, provided us many memorable nights at beautiful Petco Park.

When my husband Dave and I first met, we quickly discovered our mutual love for baseball, especially going to live games. Our home team, the San Diego Padres, provided us many memorable nights at beautiful Petco Park. One game went 22 innings – well into the night. The 7th inning stretch was executed 3 times!

In late 2012, Dave suddenly noticed unusual pain in his hand then muscle twitches. Months later he received the terrible diagnosis of ALS. It was heartbreaking to say the least. The last few games we attended Dave watched from his wheelchair, much higher in the stands than he preferred. For 2-1/2 years he fought valiantly to beat this horrible disease and became an advocate for all people living with ALS.

Rest in peace Dave. You live on in my heart and mind, always.
