Because if ALS can affect anyone, then curing it will take everyone.

Why We Need to Spread the Word

In 2018, I AM ALS asked Ipsos to conduct a poll of 1,000 Americans to find out what they know about ALS. Turns out:

    1. More than 60% of Americans know nothing about ALS whereas only 32% knew nothing about Alzheimer’s
    2. More than 60% of Americans do not know that ALS is always fatal
    3. Less than 50% knew that the Ice Bucket Challenge raised money for ALS

This poll also made clear that Americans are far more likely to join a fight to cure a disease like ALS when they know someone personally affected by the disease.
