Young Adult Team

When: Fridays from 3 to 4 PM ET

Chair: Ashley Lee

Young people are often the unsung heroes whose contributions to the ALS community are underestimated and overlooked. Young people impacted by ALS, whether that be those living with ALS, caring for a loved one with ALS, or joining the movement in honor of a loved one, face unique challenges throughout their ALS experience.  As a result, these individuals’ perspectives enable them to contribute fresh and innovative ideas to the advocacy community. Age does not lessen the impact of ALS, and in many ways it can, in fact, increase the challenges being faced.

The I AM ALS Young Adult team was created to give the next generation of ALS advocates a voice. The team is designed for 18-29-year-olds to bring their unique voices together and collaborate to raise awareness, educate the public, and influence change in the ALS community. Whether their ALS connection is themselves or a loved one, young adult individuals whose lives have been impacted by ALS are welcome and encouraged to join.
