Op-ed Guide

Have you ever thought to yourself, “Wow, I sure wish I knew how to write an op-ed.” Or maybe you’re thinking now, “What IS an op-ed?”

An op-ed is a short, persuasive opinion piece published in a news outlet. It presents a clear, sound argument and gives writers a chance to share their unique experiences in the process.
Writing op-eds is just one way our community can further its goal of amplifying the voices of people living with and impacted by ALS. (Plus, how cool would it be to get to say you got published in a newspaper!?)

Sign up here to receive our brief guide to writing op-eds, which also includes links to sources that can give you a more in-depth look. Happy writing!
