Build a Relationship with Your Congressperson and Their Team

Email legislative aides about cosponsoring important ALS-related legislation

Your legislator was elected to represent you — make sure they are living up to that. Email your representative and senators’ names (or your physical address) to action@iamals.org. We’ll send you the names and email addresses of their legislative aides. We take this approach as we’ve learned it’s more effective than sending to the general email account. In this email, you’ll be asking them to become a bill’s cosponsor. It’s important for a bill to have multiple cosponsors because it shows public support for the bill and signals that they’ll most likely vote for the bill.
