Appropriations 2023 ACT4ALS
The annual U.S. Federal fiscal year 2024 appropriation bills containing funding for ALS have been drafted in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. However, the appropriation bills have not been approved and there is potential that dramatic cuts to Federal spending could threaten funding for ALS expanded access research programs (EAP). This cannot happen. EAP allows for further research of ALS therapies, as well as allows the many who no longer qualify for clinical trials to gain access to potential therapies.
Join the movement and help us raise public pressure on Congress to maintain the proposed funding levels by submitting this form to tweet at your congresspeople.Â
Your tweet will read:
.{@congressperson’s handle}. Thank you for being a part of the 118th House, which included $75 million in funding for ACT for ALS expanded access programs (EAP). This will have a real impact on the ALS community and research. #ENDALS
